Health Literacy goes hand in hand with the research that Express Scripts does in its Innovation Lab for their member communications. As a language service provider to ESI for the past 10 years, it was a natural part of the content lifecycle that we also support them with health literacy and plain language writing in English. We provide health literacy awareness trainings, rewrite of their communications in English to meet Medicare/Medicaid 4th-6th grade writing guidelines and also have conducted field testing on communications.
The main language for member communications for health plans for ESI has been Spanish. We have managed their Spanish translations and have grown and maintained their assets in Translation memory and Termbases for approved terms.
For Drug Recall letters, we provide “Urgent Care” service which delivers the translations in 1-2 days. Recall letters are under strict guidelines to get out in 21 days from time of creation so this service is necessary to meet the needs of our clients. Our focus is on the customer….
